Walter Payton Power Equip. Appoints Vince Voetberg as Michigan Sales Manager

WPPE, the Midwest’s largest crane and equipment distributor, expands its team by appointing Vince Voetberg as Michigan Sales Manager.

Vince will be directly responsible for the sales, rentals and after-market support for the entire Grove and Manitowoc product lines throughout Michigan, with the SW territory being the exception. Vince will also be responsible for the new Product Specialist position which focuses on sales, rentals and after-market support for boom trucks, knuckle booms and high capacity and rotating tele-handlers. Vince brings over 35 years of construction equipment sales leadership to WPPE including 10 years with Mi-Jack Products C.E Division and most recently as the Michigan Manager from the crane rental industry. Vince will be instrumental in growing all segments of WPPE business and customer base in the state of Michigan.

New WPPE Location in Lebanon, Indiana!

Walter Payton Power Equipment, the Midwest’s largest Crane and Heavy Equipment Distributor, opens a new state-of-the-art facility in Lebanon, Indiana.

Walter Payton Power Equipment (WPPE) recently constructed a brand-new facility in Lebanon, Indiana; just south of their previous Lebanon location. The new facility is on 4 acres of land, with direct visibility and access from interstate I-65. The new location has produced more walk-in traffic and has also made it easier for customers to pick-up and deliver equipment.

The new facility has an 18,000 square foot shop area, that boasts a brand new, cutting- edge paint booth spanning 70’L x 25’W x 23’T, designed large enough to handle up to an 8 axle all-terrain crane. There are two 120’L x 30’W drive-through bays, each spanned by two, 20-Ton capacity overhead cranes. The new facility is capable of handling equipment ranging from small carry deck cranes to larger crawler cranes. This means WPPE Service Technicians can perform equipment repairs & rebuilds inside, while working in a safe and temperature-controlled environment.

The newly constructed Lebanon site is the largest dedicated crane repair facility in Indiana and Kentucky. WPPE not only offers all forms of repair services, but also offers full refurbishment and rebuilds for all types of cranes and material handling equipment. Annual crane inspections, 3rd party Inspections, DOT inspections, and various other equipment certifications will be performed at this facility. “This new state-of-the art facility expands WPPE’s abilities to better support our customers more effectively particularly in the Indiana & Kentucky area’s”, states Dick Feldman, Regional Manager at Walter Payton Power Equipment.

In addition to increased service capabilities, the new facility also has a larger parts inventory & storage area, that offers increased on-hand inventory for Manitowoc, Grove, and National Crane parts. The office area houses parts, service, and sales staff, allowing ease of communication of all departments. An in-house designated training room holds up to 20 people for any type of training, whether its parts, service, or any customer specific training requirements.
